Poetry and Miscellany

  • Poem

    Men say they know many things;
    But lo! they have taken wings—
    The arts and sciences,
    And a thousand appliances;
    The wind that blows
    Is all that any body knows.

I, Personally, Have Nothing to Say Just Now

Posted by Matthew on May 3, 2007

It has been, and continues to be, a busy day. Heck, this week has just flown by; how is it Thursday already? I don’t even know if I’ll get the chance to post anything to LitSpace today. Sigh…

Elsewhere, and more worthy of interest, she‘s almost made it to the first 100. Go read. “Last night I dreamt again of Dartmoor mist” is the kind of line that makes you sit back and lick your lips, ain’t it?

Poem: One of my own haiku (the first one, if you are unsure) (which, by the way, would be a shameless plug if I hadn’t recently stopped posting there)
Thoreau: May 3, 1857
