Poetry and Miscellany

  • Poem

    Men say they know many things;
    But lo! they have taken wings—
    The arts and sciences,
    And a thousand appliances;
    The wind that blows
    Is all that any body knows.

    ~ Henry David Thoreau

Monday, Monday

Posted by Matthew on May 14, 2007

Again, I have little to say, and I think it’s because I haven’t been through my Google Reader from the weekend yet (it’s always a little daunting after two days off). Something will come later today, though (I hope). In the mean time (or if not), go to LitSpace and read about haiku and do some writing.

Poem: A haiku by Fay Aoyagi
Thoreau: May 11, 1852
